I was in Montreal for Fetish Weekend and had the pleasure l'Orage twice. The bilingual staff are friendly and informative, and gave my party a very comprehensive tour of the facilities. The ground floor dance club is a great place to mingle, the bar crew efficient as well as friendly, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The upstairs area is awesome! There are a couple dozen different play areas where you can play out your fantasies and there are plenty of opportunities for voyeurism. The staff are efficient at changing the bedding after use as well. We attended Diversity night on Thursday, which was lightly attended, but was perfect for an introduction. I then visited their Public Disgrace event, which was filled to capacity. It was truly a feast for the senses, with both swinging and BDSM scenes playing out in every corner of the play area. If you are in Montreal during a Public Disgrace, do not miss out! I will definitely be back the next time I am in town!

L’Orage is the first and longest standing and first swingers club in Quebec club. The owner, Jean-Paul Labaye (JP), was inspired by the clubs in France and knew that he would run into trouble. He did have to fight all the way to the Supreme court and won the case that defines what Swingers Clubs are for Canada: membership is mandatory and all adults are aware of what is considered a private public space. Membership Requirements As stated above, membership is mandatory but the advantage is that no ID is required. For couples outside Quebec, there is a different fee. For the rest, it’s a yearly fee and one cannot avoid it. Membership also allows banning members as well. Cost The cost depends on the day you are attending. It runs from Friday to Sunday. Saturday being the most popular obviously. The Dance Floor and Bar As you enter, this is where you first enter and staying there or not is optional. There are not setup of tables to dine but there is a larger dance floor with a DJ or not depending on the night. There are dance girls on theme nights. This is the place to approach swingers. Verbal conversation is best, for JP, he does consider light touching with a return touch an indicator to open conversation. It was something less intimidating for us when starting but as we are more comfortable, we are able to have better conversation starters. That said, there are more Francophones than Anglophones but sex language is universal. For first time visitors, do ask any staff for a tour of the place. They are visible, usually with badge of l’Orage. Condoms are provided on demand at the bar or any staff. Fantasies and concept For JP, “libertinage” is now swinging but rather is lifestyle that can be open with exhibitionism and voyeurs where one can play or not and it is all in a respectful setting. As you go upstairs, there are an S couch when you can play but the glass can give view stairs leading up to it. Four gloryholes (previously reviewed) There are four gloryholes at L’Orage. Three for men, and one for women. There is the classic men standing up and the women behind - in a closed door room - are on their knees. There is a small bean bag for the knees, as nobody enjoys the praying position anymore. Once inside, the door can be locked. It’s mostly same couple who use the glory holes. If kneeling is not the preferred position, there is the women lying down glory hole and the men still standing up, insert in. Much more pleasurable for the ladies. Comfortable and accessible. Up to one point, we had two girls in it. The third is kinkier. Men go on top and lie down. More precisely, the milking table when facing down and the penis protruding downward. It can be viewed from the platform audience passing by and openly approachable. Passing over the observation overpass, there are two larger open space beds and one semi-private because it is on a platform. One bed has bars on three sides and adventurous couples usually have it here. So as the other very open middle of the club bed where two couches ample standing space is open to the public. (We have had public sex and is amazing and nerve wrecking at the same time.) The semi-private bed is on a platform behind the main central one.

We have been to L’Orage several times over the years - when we visit Montreal - Easy going respectful people - All shapes, sizes and colors make it a fun place - We will be back this summer and cum again.

Entre Le patron, Le manager, le staff, le partenariat avec SDC, les soirées MlleX, et j'en passe, nous nous sommes toujours sentis bien accueillis et en confiance. Et c'est sans compter cette atmosphère si particulière qui se dégage de certaines soirées, avec ce coté constamment ouvert pour satisfaire tous les sens, avec une ambiance conviviale chaude, électrique et particulièrement excitante. Brrrr Bref, on adore. Sans pour autant dénigrer d'autres clubs qui ont aussi leurs atouts et attraits, l'orage reste et restera notre référence pour longtemps.

We have been to swing clubs and resorts all of the world for the last 15 years. We have seen all the best (and worse) Lifestyle clubs in our travels. We were really looking forward to checking out Club L'Orage. What a nice experience we had. The club is clean, the staff was polite and helpful and the upstairs open air lounge was a unique setting (for a LS club). It was a Saturday night and the club was full of well dressed couples. The play rooms were perfectly lit (and clean). The dance floor was crowded with the right music. We would definitely attend Club L'Orage again. Cheers

This is currently the best lifestyle club in Montreal. Upscale, great crowd, very clean. This is a European style club where people stay dressed. Which we feel is way sexier than seeing people running around wrapped in towels. That's why the person looking for towels and lockers didn't see any. The decor is very well done and creates a very erotic ambiance. Actually, it tops most clubs that we have been to in Europe There is a main bar and dance area as well as a play area on the first floor. If you go, don't miss out on check out the 2nd floor play area and the rooftop terrace/bar.

L'orage is a great, elegant and fun place where everyone is respectful and friendly. The fool talking about it being dirty probably works for another club.

We are only English speaking..NEVER a problem..the friendliest, most respectful and beautiful people in all of Montreal come here! If you leave here without having a GREAT TIME it is only your own fault!

You won't have any problems with English at this club. There's an interesting mix of both English and French attendees.

The website and most of the material I have read has been French only. Does anyone know if only English speaking would have any issues at the club?

Nice bar/lounge area with liquor licence. Has a dark and sensual play area in back. Dark enough to be discrete but great for watching as well. Nice upscale clientele with no pressure. The single men are always very polite and respectful.
