Two Beaches, Two Vibes, One Unforgettable Experience
Set about 20 minutes apart near Puerto Morelos, the two resorts feel connected but definitely not identical twins. Both invite you to slow down, strip down, and just settle into the rhythm of it all: sun, pool, cocktail in hand... repeat as needed.
You'll still get all the usual resort perks at both: restaurants, bars, daily activities, and nightlife that can easily run into the early hours of the morning. So whether you're pool lounging all day or dancing until way too late (or both), these resorts in Mexico have your every desire covered.
All You Desire at Desire Resorts
Think oversized suites, pools and hot tubs that make it very easy to forget what your plans were, spas for recovery mode, gyms for those pretending balance is still part of the equation, and a nightlife that has no curfew. And yes, theme nights are a whole thing too, so packing something fun isn't optional unless you enjoy having severe FOMO.
One of the big rules: no phones or cameras in public areas. Once you're in, you are actually in. No scrolling or posting allowed, your job is to just be present in the moment (which... shouldn't be too difficult if you know what we mean).
If you're new to this whole clothing-optional thing, don't stress it. Most guests ease into it and end up surprised by how natural it feels after day two.
And the staff? Honestly part of the experience. They're friendly and relaxed, and somehow remember your name and drink order faster thank you will.
Getting betwen the two resorts is easy with a quick taxi ride, so you can experience both vibes if you want. And in our opinion, you definitely should!

Desire Pearl is the calmer of the two. With bigger spaces, softer energy and slower paces, it's the kind of place where you have no choice but to relax.
Desire Riviera Maya is the opposite. It's more the social butterfly, with compact spaces and more energetic energy, you are practically forced to meet sexy people... which isn't such a terrible thing in our opinion.
Both offer great ocean views, even greater food, and plenty of entertainment. The difference between the two really just comes down to your mood, whether you want chill and spacious or lively and social.
A Shared History With SDC
SDC and Desire share a long and happy history. SDC was there at the very beginning of Desire, hosting several beloved events each year at the original Riviera Maya Resort and a few at Desire Pearl. The Pearl property itself evolved from Ceiba del Mar after being transformed by the Original Group in 2012, becoming the more uspcale version it is today.
Over time, both resorts have become known for hosting memorable lifestyle events and building a strong community.
